Services are normally held every Sunday at 10:45am and 6:00pm.

Children are welcome at all services, but at 10:45am we have an active Junior Church and Créche for the younger children.

A message from the Circuit Superintendent

Just before Easter I was made aware of a job opportunity in the University at Manchester as a Free Church Chaplain. Interviews happened in Holy Week. I applied successfully to the post.

It is with deep emotional challange that I write this note as we love our life here and the people in this Circuit. It is impossible to share this information as I would choose to, face to face, without risking your becoming aware through the rumour mill before I could speak to you. I would prefer a face to face because it would communicate how deeply I love the area, the relationships we have  developed in and around Poynton village and in all of the Churches. I do not trust my command of words to convey this emotion.

There is a plan being worked out for the Superintendent's role in the Circuit and ministerial coverage of Poynton and Green Close. I cannot share the details of this as they have yet to be ironed out, but my ego suffers because I think you will be much better looked after in my absence than if this opportunity had not been made.

Please know that I am excited about the months we still have to share in the ministry together. It will be very hard to say goodbye when the time comes, but that time is not yet here. Please call on me if you have anything to share or ask.
